He sees a beautiful giantess named Gerd and he immediately falls in love with her. Freyr's servant Skirnir offers to go to Giantland to get Gerd to like him. Skirnir takes a while to finally get her to like him, but succeeds in the end when he says a horrible curse will be put on her if she denies to like him. She finally gives in. This is an agricultural fertility myth. Loki made a dart out of it and had Hod, Baldr's blind twin, throw the dart. The dwarves then killed some giants, but Suttung, the son of those giants, kills the dwarves.  Sutting takes the drink and hides in a mountain with his daughter guarding it.<br \/>\nOdin searches for this drink, kills some serfs, finds Suttung's brother, and he takes him to the drink using a magical drill. Odin seduces the daughter, and spends three nights with her, which equals three draughts of the drink.  He drinks all of it, and flies to Asgard in the shape of an eagle. However, he dropped some on the ground.
